Steve Reynolds - Ballards Gore Thornton Cup Captain 2009

Best golfing memory?

Birdying the 17th at Ballards Gore.

Best tip?

Lots of practice and dedication.

Favourite player?

Nick Faldo. He has a natural swing and is a good all rounder.

Favourite hole in Essex?

The 8th at Toot Hill. It's a par 3 that is surrounded by water.

What changes would you like to see in the game?

Youngsters need to be given a chance, but the courses would then need to be adapted for them.

Bob Paton - Ballards Gore Club Captain 2009

Best golfing memory?

The first game I played for Ballards Gore. It was an honour to represent the club.

Best tip?

Keep it slow. It reduces the margin of error in the swing.

Favourite player?

Sandy Lyle. A Scotsman with a wonderful temperament and talent.

Favourite hole in Essex?

The 18th at Warley Park. A long par 3. You have to carry the ball all the way and it's a challenging green.

What changes would you like to see in the game?

I wouldn't like to see anything changed. I would like to see the dress code and manners maintained. If it's not broke, then don't fix it.
